Why We Built Ralpha For UE5
Unreal Engine is already a full production environment. Ralpha exists because AI tools should operate that environment through explicit, inspectable commands instead of vague instructions and brittle editor automation.
Launch Proof
The first design choice was to make the Unreal side real. Ralpha ships as a UE5 plugin with a local MCP command surface. The editor starts the server, the brain talks to that server, and every scene change travels through a named command that can be validated, retried, and debugged.
The second design choice was to put a brain in front of the plugin. Raw command access is powerful, but it is also easy for an LLM to hallucinate names, skip prerequisites, or issue unsafe edits. Ralpha Brain is the local safety and learning layer that checks commands before they reach UE5 and keeps customer learning data separate from bundled base rules.
The launch version is intentionally practical. It targets UE5.7+, bundles the local brain, and keeps the product useful even when the update service is offline. The update subscription work matters, but the editor workflow does not depend on a live web account to function.
The promise is not that AI replaces Unreal judgment. The promise is that artists, technical directors, and solo creators can ask for high-level changes while still getting explicit Unreal operations that can be inspected and corrected.
